Employee Assistance Program

Employees and their dependents are eligible to receive free, confidential employee assistance and counseling
through a contracted provider, Managed Health Network. MHN is a leading national provider of managed
behavioral health care and Employee Assistance Programs. Among MHN's comprehensive suite of services are
face-to-face counseling, telephonic support, critical incident stress debriefings and online resources.
From time-to-time, everyone needs help in dealing with stress, family concerns, money worries,or other
problems. Managed Health Network provides Air Resources Board employees with a more objective viewpoint,
and a professional perspective about concerns. The Managed Health Network counselors are experts in providing
support, understanding and guidance for a broad range of situations. Telephone consultations are available
for: legal concerns, financial issues, child & elder care assistance, federal tax assistance, pre-retirement
planning, organizing life's affairs, and concierge services. Assistance is available 24 hours a day by self referral at
(866) EAP-4SOC (866-327-4762) or TDD (800) 327-0801.
You may also access MHN'S EAP services online. Using this site, you can search for a counselor or ask an expert an emotional health question. You can access this new feature from the comfort and privacy of your own home. The site also offers help on a wide range of emotional health and daily life issues, including: alcohol abuse, drug abuse, marital and family issues, and emotional, personal and stress concerns.
