On July 18, 2011, the District’s Board adopted the Managed Vegetation Best Available Control Measure, an amendment to the Attainment Demonstration State Implementation Plan for the Owens Valley PM10 nonattainment area.

2008 Owens Valley PM10 Planning Area Attainment Demonstration SIP


In February 2008, the District's Board adopted the 2008 Owens Valley PM10 Attainment Demonstration plan. The plan reflects a settlement agreement reached between the District and the City of Los Angeles (City) concerning the level of additional control needed for the Owens dry lake bed to attain the PM10 federal standard and revises the 2003 SIP for this area.

In November 2003, the District's Board adopted revisions to the 2003 Owens Valley PM10 Demonstration of Attainment SIP. The plan revises and documents compliance with the 1998 SIP.

1998 Owens Valley PM10 Planning Area Attainment Demonstration SIP


The 1998 Owens Valley PM10 Planning Area Demonstration of Attainment SIP documents a dust control agreement reached between the Great Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District and the City of Los Angeles to reduce windblown dust from the Owens Lake bed as needed and achieve PM10 air quality standards as required by the federal Clean Air Act.
