Transportation Strategies and Air Quality

Background:

The Air Resources Board (ARB) encourages the implementation of cost-effective transportation strategies as part of air quality plans and also through research, published reports, and evaluation tools on transportation / air quality linkages. ARB provides technical assistance and oversight to regional agencies in meeting the transportation conformity provisions of the federal Clean Air Act. In addition, ARB provides guidance on the cost-effectiveness of transportation and motor vehicle emission reducing projects.
