CMV Emission Inventory

CARB funded Professor James Corbett at the University of Delaware to model North American interport emission inventories in 2002, 2010 and 2020 with low-sulfur scenarios in 2020, using ICOADS data. The regional inventories were produced from a GIS-based STEEM model, and compared with port-specific CMV inventories in Los Angeles as well as other areas of the North America (Seattle, Vancouver, Great Lakes,  New York, New Jersey, Houston and Galveston).  The first phase was complete in April 2007, and the second phase is complete in May 2010.

Phase 1:  ESTIMATION, VALIDATION, AND FORECASTS OF REGIONAL COMMERCIAL MARINE VESSEL INVENTORIES (April 2007)

Phase 2:  IMPROVED GEOSPATIAL SCENARIOS FOR COMMERCIAL MARINE VESSELS (May 2010)

For more information, please contact Dr. Dongmin Luo (phase 1) or Dr. Paul Livingstone (phase 2).
