The California Air Resources Board's Economics Program carries out economic studies in: 
 

Extramural Research   Extramural research contracts in the areas of economic and financial impact assessments, economic projections, transportation studies, benefit and cost estimation, and market-based control strategies. 
Economic Modeling Tools A number of modeling tools for economic analysis on statewide climate change and air pollution control policies.
Assistance to the Boards, Departments, and Offices of Cal/EPA   Assistance in performing economic impact analyses for proposed regulations from the other Cal/EPA agencies regulating waste management, water resources, pesticides, toxic substances, other environmental health hazards in the state.
