| The ARB staff held a public workshop to discuss the draft revised methodology for
estimating premature death associated with fine airborne particulate
(PM2.5) exposures. Staff focused on assessing the results of health
studies that related changes in PM2.5 exposures to premature death, and
how that information changed the concentration-response factor
that ARB staff applies in our health impacts analyses. Staff also discussed
issues related to threshold and methodologies for assessing the health benefits of attaining the PM air quality standards. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Information about the workshop is provided below. The purpose of this workshop was to obtain input from interested stakeholders and members of the public on the draft revised methodology; thus, the workshop was also webcast and a telephone conference line was provided for those who could not attend in person. | ||||||||||||||||||||
