Introduction |

| The Governor signed Assembly Bill 1173 (Keeley) into law in September 2002. This bill requires the Air Resources Board to compile a comprehensive report on indoor air pollution, including information on the health effects and sources of indoor pollutants; the effects of existing regulations and industry practices; and possible mitigation options for homes, schools and non-industrial workplaces. The report will undergo external scientific peer review as well as public review. AB 1173 is incorporated into the Health and Safety Code as section 39930. | ||||||||||
A public workshop was held in April 2003 to discuss preparation of the report. Information from the workshop is available below.
| Another workshop will be held to hear public comments after the draft report is released. Interested parties will be notified of the date through the listserve. | ||||||||||
