| The SCAQMD Azusa site is equipped for routine criteria pollutant monitoring;
the SCOS97-NARSTO ozone program added high resolution gas phase monitoring (VOC, NOx, NOy, etc.), and the aerosol
program added prototype Federal Reference Method PM2.5. Space limitations forced creation of the Azusa secondary
site a few yards away; instrumentation there focused on primary and secondary aerosols originating from
the dense urban core upwind, with single particle analysis (ATOFMS), particle number (CNC), size distributions
(OPC), 4-hr organic and inorganic speciated aerosols (filters), and 24-hour organic and inorganic size-resolved aerosols (MOUDI). |
