Atmospheric Chemistry of VOCs

The present status of knowledge of the atmospheric chemistry of the major classes of VOCs emitted from vehicles (alkanes, alkenes and aromatic hydrocarbons) and of their atmospheric reaction products will be presented and illustrated by recent research carried out at the Air Pollution Research Center for the Air Resources Board and other agencies.
     
Roger Atkinson is a Research Chemist at the Air Pollution Research Center and a Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences and the Department of Chemistry at UC Riverside. He is the author or co-author of over 300 technical publications dealing with the atmospheric chemistry of volatile organic compounds.
