Workgroup Meeting to Discuss "Weekend Effect" Research
March 1, 2000
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Air Resources Board
Second Floor Conference Room and Teleconference
2020 L Street
This third technical meeting follows our previous working group meetings (September 22, and November 16, 1999) where we discussed ongoing research efforts regarding the "weekend effect", the observation that ozone is often higher on weekends than on weekdays in some air basins.
The California Air Resources Board, the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the Coordinating Research Council, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory all are conducting research either in-house or through contracts to further understand the phenomenon.
The purpose of these meetings is to coordinate the timing and funding of our research, share results, exchange ideas and elaborate on technical details. The agenda for this third meeting is also posted on the Web.
Those who are funding or conducting research in this area will benefit the most from this meeting. Please contact Marlena Elliott at (916) 445-0753 or firstname.lastname@example.org to advise if you plan to attend or to obtain a dial-on number if you prefer to join us by phone.
