Workgroup Meeting to Discuss "Weekend Effect" Research
November 16, 1999
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Air Resources Board
Board Hearing Room
2020 L Street, Lower Level
This second "technical" meeting follows our previous working meeting on September 22, 1999, where we discussed further research on the "weekend effect", the observation that ozone is often higher on weekends than on weekdays in some air basins.
The California Air Resources Board, the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the Coordinating Research Council, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory all are conducting research either in-house or through contracts to further understand the phenomenon.
The purpose of this follow-up meeting is to continue our efforts at coordinating the timing and funding of our research, as well as to exchange ideas and elaborate on technical details. This meeting will focus mostly on the upcoming NREL and CRC work rather than on new analyses done by ARB staff.
Those who are funding or conducting research in this area will benefit the most from this meeting. Please contact Marlena Elliott at (916) 445-0753 or email@example.com to advise if you plan to attend.
