HARP Download

Download HARP Version 1.4f

Please note that after you install HARP on your system, you should download the latest HARP Health Database and CEIDARS Utility Tables. The latest HARP Health Database can be downloaded at http://www.arb.ca.gov/toxics/harp/software/health.mdb. The latest CEIDARS utility tables and update instructions can be downloaded at http://www.arb.ca.gov/toxics/harp/software/pol_may2013.mdb and http://www.arb.ca.gov/toxics/harp/software/pol_may2013updateinstructions.pdf, respectively. To use the latest health database with HARP, you must replace your current health database located in the HARP main directory (typically C:\HARP) with the one you just downloaded.

(200MB) - This file will install the full version of HARP.  The setup file was compiled on 5/4/2012.

Please note that if you have HARP already installed on your system, this file may overwrite your existing project data. Make sure that you backup your data before running this file.

If you receive an error message related to MSXML4r.dll during the software installation, please click Ignore in the setup dialog.  This file is used by another third party HARP program and is not necessary to run HARP.  To resolve this issue, you can copy and paste the MSXML4r.dll file manually into the windows system directory (c:\windows\system32).  Click here to download the file.

If you run HARP on windows 8 and get an error message when opening the Risk Assessemnt Module saying MSCOMCTL.OCX not registered, please follow the following steps to fix this problem:
  1. Click here to download MSCOMCTL.OCX and save it to C:\Windows\System.
  2. Use notepad to write "REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX" (no quotes) and save it as a .bat file to your user directory.  Then go to your user directory, right click on this file, and click “Run as administrator”.  The .ocx file will be registered to the registry.
* Note: Directly run this command (REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX) at the command line will cause another error, no matter where you run it.

The full installation file also contains
  • The HARP User Guide
  • The HARP How-To Guides
  • Map Data
  • Meteorological Data
*Note: San Joaquin Unified Air Pollution Control District no longer accepts health risk analyses using the Industrial Source Complex - Short Term (ISCST3) model.  Please go to their web site at: http://www.valleyair.org/busind/pto/Tox_Resources/AirQualityMonitoring.htm to get the meteorological data for the AERMOD model.

The HARP On-Ramp program developed by ARB staff is an interim tool to allow people to use AERMOD with HARP.  For more information and to download HARP On-Ramp, please visit our web page at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/toxics/harp/downloads.htm.
