| Concrete is a mixture of water, cement, sand, gravel and other substances designed to harden and form durable surfaces and structures. A batch plant is a facility which collects and stores concrete ingredients, selects and combines proportions, and dispenses the mixture into a mixer-truck. This one-day course covers process and control, air pollution control measures, inspection procedures, and legal requirements applicable to concrete batch plants. There will be a field visit in the afternoon. Participants must bring their hard hats, safety shoes, hearing and eye protection. |
