| This course emphasizes the requirements of the Asbestos National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). Topics include notification and work practice requirements (including wetting and removal), types of asbestos regulated under the NESHAP, what is a “regulated facility”; including residences, waste shipping and disposal requirements. Regulators will be available to respond to questions, including the impact of an Asbestos NESHAP violation. Presenters consist of representatives of the Environmental Information Association/The Asbestos Institute, the California Air Resources Board, the San Diego Air Pollution Control District, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. |
