two-day Workshop will emphasize the importance of proper smoke
management and its impact on dispersion. Speakers will include
representatives of CARB, EPA Region IX, air pollution control
districts, and National Parks and Forest Service. Specific topics will
focus on meteorology, laws and regulations of prescribed burns, fuel
consumption and combustion and emission calculations, weather and smoke
dispersion, smoke management plans, public notification and health
effects, and federal policy on wild land and prescribed fires, and an
