00-3-1 | Public Hearing to Consider Amendments to the Agricultural Burning Guidelines The Air Resources Board (ARB) is proposing to amend existing agricultural burning regulations for managing the smoke impacts from the burning of crop waste and vegetation in forests and wildlands. The proposed amendments are intended to accomplish the following objectives: (1) avoid severe smoke episodes through collaboration and coordination between regulatory agencies and those that engage in agricultural burning; (2) conform with federal and State requirements to achieve health-based air quality standards and federal visibility requirements for scenic vista areas; and (3) require burn projects to comply with health-based smoke management program requirements. |
00-3-2 | Public Hearing to Consider Amendments to the Vapor Recovery Certification
and Test Procedure Regulations for Enhanced Vapor Recovery The Air Resources Board (Board) will consider proposed amendments to the certification and test procedures for vapor recovery systems at service stations. The amendments will strengthen the certification process to increase the reliability and durability of in-use systems and increase the stringency of existing emission standards. New monitoring requirements are proposed to allow real-time assessment of vapor recovery system operation. |
00-3-3 | Public Meeting to Consider Area Designation Recommendations for the
New Federal Eight-Hour Ozone Standard The Clean Air Act requires states to submit recommendations on designating areas as attainment or nonattainment after U.S. EPA establishes new national ambient air quality standards. ARB staff will present area designation recommendations for the federal eight-hour ozone standard. |
