HUSS MK 35 and MK 50

The California Air Resources Board has verified the HUSS MK 35 and MK 50 DPF (formerly designated as the FS‑MK 40S and the FS‑MK 50S) as a Level 3 Plus diesel emission control strategy for use with 1998 and newer diesel Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU) engines. It is capable of reducing emissions of particulate matter (PM) by 85 percent or more. The HUSS MK 35 and MK 50 DPF consist of an active exhaust filter system and an automatic filter regeneration system. The system has three modules with silicon carbide filter material that uses a diesel burner for regeneration. Specific engine models and families that apply are listed in the attachment below.
