RULE 2.16 - COST OF PUTTING OUT A FIRE
(Adopted 1/89)

As provided by Section 42400.5 of the California Health and Safety Code, any agricultural burning that is in violation of these Rules and Regulations is subject to being put out by any fire control agency when so ordered by the Air Pollution Control Officer. The cost of putting out the fire may be charged to the person, persons, business, firm or corporation responsible for the fire.

a. This provision is in addition to any other penalties that are authorized by Section 42400 through 42404 of the California Health and Safety Code and provisions of these Rules and Regulations
