RULE 7.10 - INDIRECT SOURCE FEE
(Adopted 7/6/92)

A. For the purposes of this Rule the following definitions shall apply:
Commercial: any new construction including additions of structures, which are not residential or industrial.

Indirect Sources: any facility, building, structure, installation, real property, road or highway, which attracts or may attract mobile sources of air pollution.

Industrial: any new construction, including additions, of structures for processing, fabricating and warehousing.

Residential: any new construction of a single or multiple family dwelling. Each dwelling shall be considered one unit.

  1. Any applicant for a building permit shall pay the following fees:
    1. For each residential unit - $10.00
    2. Commercial - $.04 sq. ft.
    3. Industrial - $.02 sq. ft.
  2. Indirect Source fees shall not apply to building permits, which are for the construction of projects which, will only be used for agricultural purposes.

All revenue from indirect source fees shall be used to offset the District's costs. Any excess revenue may be used to mitigate air quality impacts, as directed by the District Board.
