RULE 4605 - AEROSPACE ASSEMBLY AND COMPONENT COATING OPERATIONS

1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this rule is to limit the VOC emissions from aerospace coatings and adhesives and to provide the administrative requirements for recording and measuring the emissions.

2.0 Applicability

This rule shall apply to the manufacturing, assembling, coating, masking, bonding, paint stripping, surface cleaning, service, and maintenance of aerospace components, and the cleanup of equipment associated with these operations.
