          RULE 408.GASOLINE SPECIFICATIONS   (Adopted 8/2/76)

            A.  A person shall not, after January 1, 1977,  sell  or supply
                for use within the District as a fuel for motor vehicles as
                defined  by  the  Vehicle  Code of the State of California,
                gasoline having a degree of  unsaturation greater than that
                indicated by a Bromine Number  of  30 as determined by ASTM
                Method  D1159-57T  modified  by omission  of  the  mercuric
                chloride catalyst.

            B.  For the purpose of this Rule, the term "gasoline" means any
                petroleum distillate having a  Reid  vapor pressure of more
                than four pounds.
