The limit is 25 percent VOC by weight for mountainous areas that are subject to low freezing temperatures, and one percent VOC for everywhere else in the state. The amount of excess VOC emissions associated with the violations was 3.94 tons. The settlement agreement was executed on July 16, 2012 and AutoZone paid $60,000 to settle the case.
