Extengine Inc. Case Settles for $1500.00

This page finalized April 30, 2010

Extengine Inc. paid $1500.00 in penalties for violating air quality regulations; $1,125.00 went to the California Air Pollution Control Fund and $375.00 to the California Pollution Control Financing Authority to guarantee loans to off-road vehicle fleets that need to buy exhaust retrofits to comply with the in-use off-road diesel vehicle regulation.  This settlement was reached in September 2009.

An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Extengine Inc. failed to comply with the California Vehicle Code Section 27156 by failing to maintain experimental permits and installing their emission control systems prior to obtaining verification.  To settle the case, Extengine Inc agreed to the $1500.00 penalty and to comply with the Aftermarket Parts regulation.
