Fine Hair Case Settles for $3,000.00

On November 27, 2012, a consumer products case was settled with Fine Hair for selling “The Spray” subject to the VOC limit for the Hairspray category, title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 94509(a). The product contained concentrations of VOC’s exceeding the 55 percent by weight VOC limit and did not display the date of manufacture. There were approximately 0.01 tons of excess emissions. The company paid $3,000 to settle the case.
