Between March 2010 and April 2013, FleetPride, Inc. supplied several non-compliant automotive windshield washer fluid products in California that were in violation of VOC limits contained in ARB’s Consumer Product Regulations. The products were sold in one gallon containers and 55 gallon drums to automotive truck stops and other retailers throughout the State. Several of the products were also in violation of the VOC limit for automotive washer fluids sold in the mountainous areas of California. The sale of the products resulted in 31 tons of excess VOC emissions. FleetPride has since stopped selling the products and implemented a new computer system to prevent future sale of non-compliant consumer products in California. The case was settled on February 21, 2014 for $418,500.
