In January 2012, Full Spektrem self-disclosed that they supplied to California their Steel Meister product that was in violation of VOC limit for Metal Polish/Cleansers contained in ARB’s Consumer Product Regulations. The sale of the product resulted in 0.75 tons of excess VOC emissions. Full Spektrem has since reformulated the product. Because the company reported the violation to the ARB the penalty was significantly reduced. The case was settled on August 1, 2012 for $7,500.
