Navios ShipManagement Inc. Case Settles for $7,500

Navios ShipManagement Inc., Piraeus, Greece, paid $7,500.00 in penalties to the California Air Resources Board (ARB), for violating the Ocean-Going Vessels fuel regulations.  The violations were discovered during a routine inspection of the vessel by ARB staff.  This settlement was reached on April 3, 2018.  An investigation by ARB showed that the Navios ShipManagement Inc. vessel Hyundai Singapore failed to operate on compliant fuel upon entry into Regulated California Waters in 2018.  ARB alleged one violation for one day. Navios ShipManagement Inc. took prompt action after being notified of these violations and under ARB’s supervision began operating in a compliant fashion.  To settle the case Navios ShipManagement Inc. agreed to the $7,500.00 penalty for one violation and to comply with ARB regulations.
