$3,500 in Fines Paid by Polaris Industries Inc.

This page finalized October 7, 2008

On May 14, 2008, staff settled an enforcement case for $3,500.  Polaris Industries Inc. supplied Wedco Moulded Products brand 2.5-gallon gasoline containers to North County Yamaha in San Marcos, California.  These containers do not meet the performance standards and administrative requirements as mandated in the Portable Fuel Containers and Spouts Regulation.  The container came equipped with a spout which is basically a hollow tube for dispensing the fuel and the container did not appear to have any type of permeation barrier.  To prevent any future violations, Polaris Industries Inc. made a business decision not to supply any gasoline containers nationally.
