This page last reviewed October 25th, 2013.

In August 2013, Rangel Trucking paid $375.00 for violating air quality regulations: $281.25 was paid to the California Air Pollution Control Fund, which provides funding for projects and research to improve California's air quality; $93.75 was paid to the Peralta Colleges Foundation to fund emission education classes conducted by participating California community colleges, under the California Council for Diesel Education and Technology (CCDET) program.

An investigation by the Air Resources Board (ARB) showed that Rangel Trucking failed to timely report all required information for all vehicles in the fleet for which they elected to utilize the compliance options/credits/provisions of the Truck & Bus Regulation. ARB documented violations as they related to the Truck & Bus Regulation. To settle the case, Rangel Trucking agreed to the $375.00 penalty and to comply with the Truck & Bus and other ARB programs.
