| Subject | AB617Fresno20: I suggest a new electrostatic precipitator & vacuum bags on RioBravo |
| Comment | Several evenings, near Willow Ave between North & Central Ave, I measured unsafe levels of PM 2.5 of between 50 and 150 ug/m3/min (approx 150- 450 AQI) and higher than other areas of Fresno. I fear that these would be the only areas with available housing for social services to place low income people of color & people with preexisting disabilities. Twice out of only 2 times I took dust samples around streets or sidewalks around the RioBravo Biomass plant, I got more positive than background results for hexavalent chromium. I took 1 sample from the west side and the other sample from the east side. I will take more measurements to confirm these by Wednesday. Another burner of biomass, the winery on Olive X Clovis Ave also tested positive for hexavalent chromium. Chestnut Ave tested negative. Anadale Ave once tested negative & once positive after a long time without rain. |
