Automobile emmissions play a significant role in air pollution in
the Los Angeles region. By allowing electric vehicles to take to
the road at 35 mph ( or higher ) Los Angeles could provide a
valuable tool for reducing emissions and an alternative to costly
public transit infrastructure investment ( read : the subway to
the sea.) Personal commitment to clean air can only create real
change if individuals have effective tools and alternatives.
