| Comment | Hello,
Zero emission vehicles are the first step in breaking our
dependence on oil. Weakening requirements for the number of these
vehicles shipped will substantially delay the day we can be free of
the need for oil.
There are already companies producing fully electric vehicles that
are leading the way for the large automakers who have opted to rely
on their lobbyists to maintain the status quo. Zenn and Tesla are
both producing fully electric vehicles. If these startups can do
it why can't the large automakers do so as well?
I do not see how reducing the already delayed and weakened targets
will be conducive to maintaining pressure on the larger and more
established car manufacturers.
