| Comment | I have driven a 100mpg Plug-in Hybrid for about a year that I power
with 60 cents of Clean Domestic Wind Energy each night to offset
the amount of more expensive Dirty Foreign Oil that I need to buy.
The money I save goes to take my family out to local restaurants
and shops, helping our economy, and our local tax base.
People are always trying to come up with product like ethanol,
bio-diesel, hydrogen, that we would have to keep buying and I
really just don’t see the point in that when we already have
electricity pumped to our homes each day. I’ve been a slave to
gas pump for twenty years, and I don’t want to be a slave to
another type of pump for the next twenty years.
With Plug-in cars we are not moving pollution from the tail pipe
to the smoke stack as some people say, because we are putting up
wind turbines and solar panels faster then we are building Coal
power plants, or hydrogen stations.
I will be the first person to tell you that Plug-In cars will not
work for everyone. They will only work for about 98% of
commuters. When more of us drive Plug-In cars we will have more
money for our Communities, our Local Governments, our Churches,
our Charities, and Ourselves.
