| Comment | Systemic analysis of environmental impacts of green house gases
show that if you connect the dots, clear cutting does not have a
positive impact on the health of our planet, our state, our lives.
Cap and Trade schemes should not allow clear cutting to be
considered a sequestration opportunity. Clear cutting with the
resultant plantation replantation harms our water supply, our
wildlife diversity and is an insult to the integrity of our
remaining forests.
The science is affected by the interests of for profit timber
outfits, just as drug research sponsored by drug manufacturers will
more likely be designed to find benefit from the tested drug.
