| Comment | With battery technology improving at a pace rapid enough that
independent companies are able to develop electric vehicles/ZEVs,
(enough electric vehicles/ZEVs by the way to meet the standard
already set) it seems foolish beyond comprehension to reduce the
target number of ZEVs. I believe in an open market, but a
regulated market. Look at all the innovation spawned by the ZEV
standards already established. Would this have occurred in an
unregulated market? Heartbreakingly, I doubt it.
You are in a unique position of influence with regards to market
regulation, its inherent prod for innovation and thus the future
of every Californian and eventually every American. You are in a
unique position of influence over the lives and fortunes of those
innovators who have risen to the challenge of meeting the current
ZEV standards.
I implore you to maintain the currently required level of ZEVs.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Benjamin Wilson
