I'm against the proposed $0.65 per gallon tax increase in gasoline
prices that the California Air Resources Board is proposing.
California is already one of the highest regulated and highest
taxed states in the union. With the status quo of our current
inflationary economy; high unemployment rate of people not earning
a living wage; housing shortage contributing to high rents and home
prices; rising utility costs due to criminal providers' negligently
maintaining their equipment; combined with a continued uptick in
taxes, fees, bonds, special assessments, etc. this proposal should
be dead on arrival. California has lost federal government
representation due to our population loss. Continuing to add to the
exorbitant costs to live here is unacceptable and certainly not an
"incentive" to maintain our population. Holding utilities and
arsonists criminally and financially accountable would be a better
solution to air quality. Please reconsider this proposal. Thank you
for your time and consideration.
