Emissions from recreational charter boats operating on the ocean of
the coasts of California are not a global or even a local problem.
Please reconsider amending your current regulations. You would do
better to focus your time on the commercial boats of which there is
a substantially larger number, they run longer, (sometimes 24/7)
and they can more easily absorb the expense. You can easily modify
your amendment to exempt commercial/recreational boats and or add a
size limit so as to reduce the impact on this important segment of
the overall fishing fleets in California. Simply add language
stating Charter Boats are excluded from this regulation.
