CARB has a historic opportunity to correct decades of environmental
racism. Not only are airlines some of the largest emitters of
greenhouse gasses, the emissions are toxic resulting in higher
levels of chronic respiratory illness. As someone who works in
hospitals and who travels this harms us in the long term as there
are few areas where breathing quality is measured. The most at risk
though are workers, especially black and latino, working or living
near airports that have even less space to get away from it. I wish
to understand why the staffs recommendation to remove exemptions to
the Low Carbon Fuel Standards was taken out
