| Comment | Dear CARB,
I strongly urge you to maintain the current California Air
Resources Board, not weaken the current Zero Emission Vehicle
regulations. Zero emission vehicles reduce air pollution, and
fight against global warming. These requirements should be
strengthened not weakened.
The next car I purchase will be preferably a zero emission
vehicle. This is unlikely to come to pass, though, if automakers
are only required to make 150 ZEV vehicles per year.
I support the staff's proposal to significantly increase the
number of plug-in hybrids produced and appreciate including these
cars in the ZEV requirements. A plug-in hybrid that has an
all-electric range, but that also runs on gasoline when the
battery is empty, is a good option.
