  Zero emissions? How many ways have shot ourselves in the foot
regarding this issue? I see auto makers advertise about how how
"green" they are, and yet I'm sure they will continue to postpone
or, if possible, kill any meaningful legislation requiring them to
adapt to the dwindling oil supply, not to mention the amount of CO2
their cars add to the atmosphere.
   In the near future I will be installing solar collectors on my
house. I would dearly love to be able to purchase a car for less
than $60,000 and can go farther than 200 miles on a charge at a
speed  greater than 25mph. I'm sure this can be done. 
    With less oil at higher prices and an environmental disaster
looming, I wish the auto makers could do this on their own. Their
sincere effort toward developing a somewhat environmentally
friendly product would be better for us and those who follow us.
