| Subject | New Plug-in Regulations - Tier I |
| Comment | With this email, i am asking the CARB to raise the Tier I control
number from 10 to at least 100. If the businesses doing
conversions have to buy the equipment to show the lower emissions
with only 10 conversions it will add approx. $2,000.00 to each
conversion, making it far too expensive. I own a 1970 Dodge A100
pickup truck which is almost finished being restored and the next
step will be to have the power source changed to a plug-in hybrid
electric vehicle. Raising Tier I to 100 conversions will lower the
added cost for testing to approx. $200.00 per vehicle, which will
make it affordable for me, and I will then have a low emission
truck which I can enjoy.
Thank you, Ray Fitzsimons. |
