We must not only not increase but decrease California's purchase
of oil from the Amazon region.  The State of California must
continue to be a leader in reducing the use of fossil fuel.
Individuals and companies that currently use oil from the Amazon
should be given a short time frame to change their systems
requiring such oils to systems that use renewable and sustainable
fuels.  A transition period of 3 years should be imposed with
heavy fines thereafter for systems requiring fossil fuels. Global
warming is a crisis for everyone and we must act accordingly.
