| Comment | Dear Chairman Sawyer and Board Members:
The proposed SIP does not sufficiently address the urgency of the
air quality crisis. This plan provides a 4 year delay in
attainment of air quality standards, meaning that 21,600 more
people will die from particulates, in addition to all the
additional respiratory diseases from ozone.
It is time to implement real reductions through improved smog
checks, particulate traps, consumer products and addressing marine
vessels, recreational boats and off-road vehicles.
