SubjectCalifornia must stop using oil from the Amazon

The state of California must commit to a policy that ensures that
California refineries are not sourcing crude from regions where
there are Indigenous rights violations or from regions where new
oil drilling in the Amazon is being planned.


The Board must present a plan for the state to eliminate the use
of Amazon crude.


There must be new fuel efficiency standards for California,
along with expanded electrification of fleets that consume the most
Amazon oil.


We cannot afford to wait. This must be done now.
