Dear Chair Nichols and Members of the Board,

I urge you to approve the strengthened staff proposal for the
Advanced Clean Trucks ("ACT") Rule. We are short on time to
mitigate climate change and for decades we have allowed the lives
of countless future generations to be severely impacted by those
who call for delayed action in order to maximize short-term profits
today. That is a shameful legacy. This rule represents a step in
the right direction. Likewise, I urge the board to formally commit
to timelines for transitioning to electric trucks in California.
This will send a clear signal that most trucks should become
electric by 2040.
