Subject	2022 California Climate Change Scoping Plan
Comment	I am opposed to the expansion of oil drilling in the Amazon River basin. The drilling causes damage to a ecologically sensitive region on which the entire planet is dependent. The drilling is contrary to California's goal of reducing dependence on fossil fuels and of converting to electrical power. The drilling tramples over the rights of indigenous peoples who have been living in the Amazon basic since before the beginning of recorded history. California always has been the leader in environmental issues. It is important that the CARB continue on this path.
