The CARB scoping plan is simply insufficient to meet
California's climate goals. The scoping plan does not put our state
on track to meet our 2030 commitements or goals. The plan does not
comply with AB 32's requirement for CA to realize “maximum technologically
feasible” reductions in CO2 emissions, and the plan fails to
accelerate the decarbonization our society needs. The end result is
a plan that falls well short of what we need to mitigate the
impending climate catastrophe, pushing back our decarbonization
goals for more than a decade.
