Oil drilling in the Amazon is doubly disastrous. The UN climate
report makes it clear that in order to forestall the worst ravages
of global anthropogenic climate change we need to stop new oil
drilling. We also need to protect rainforest environments and their
capacity to capture carbon dioxide.
