Auto companies may be fighting the proposed ZEV standard, but it is
vital to update and stick to stringent emissions standards in order
to promote zero-emissions technology and force auto manufacturers
to improve their designs. Once the cost of electric cars is
reduced, more of them will be purchased. We need 2 million new
clean cars on the road by 2025. This will not happen unless state
government demands it.
