| Comment | Please adopt this rule to limit diesel particulate and NOX
emissions from trucks and buses. California has the worst air
quality in the nation and it is an embarassment for the state
not to take action. Trucks and buses are major contributors to
carbon particulate, ozone and NOX pollution. This causes lung and
heart disease with an estimated 4,000 premature deaths and 70,000
cases of asthma each year.To protect the health of all
Californians, I urge the California Air Resources Board to adopt
the strongest possible diesel truck regulations.
